The Western Bulldogs have lost two forwards on the one day with confirmation they have delisted Stewart Crameri.

Crameri’s departure from Whitten Oval comes just hours after Travis Cloke announced his retirement.

After serving a one-year suspension in 2016 due to his involvement in the ill-fated Essendon supplement program, the former Bomber could only manage two games this year before succumbing to season-ending hip surgery.

Crameri was traded from Essendon to the Bulldogs at the end of 2013, kicking 70 goals from 42 games with the Doggies for a career total of 156 goals from 99 games.

“Stewie showed what he was very capable of in those first two seasons with us, where his combination of athleticism and power was a feature,” Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.

“We thank him for his efforts and dedication to the club and wish him well in the future.”

At 29 years of age, Crameri has recently stated that he would like to continue his career at a third club if he was to be cut by the Bulldogs.

“My body’s refreshed so I’d be really excited to play again next year,” Crameri told AFL Trade Radio.

“I’ve started training the last month or so, back into my running program, so that’s been good.

“But I had a couple of operations throughout the year and it was just a case of bad timing, really.

“The year before, having that off through the Essendon stuff didn’t really work out and it just hasn’t really worked out for me this year.”

Crameri was originally picked up by the Bombers in the 2009 rookie draft as a mature-age recruit.
