Sydney superstar Lance Franklin could return for the Swans’ blockbuster clash with Hawthorn at the MCG on Friday night.
The seven-time All-Australian has missed the past two games with a bruised heel which was initially sustained in round one against West Coast on the hard Optus Stadium surface.
“Franklin is a chance, depending how he trains tonight and how he pulls up tomorrow,” coach John Longmire said on Wednesday.
“He’s been doing running and having a kick, he’s pulled up well from that. The change of direction is another level however.”
In Franklin’s absence, the Swans scored a stirring victory over Geelong at Kardinia Park and suffered a shock loss to North Melbourne at the SCG.
