Speaking to Triple M Breakfast in Adelaide this morning, Adelaide Crows captain Taylor Walker hinted at challenging the $1500 fine issued to him by the MRP last night over his weekend incident with Jason Johanissen.

The AFL judiciary on Monday charged 'Tex' with misconduct for his bump and shove of the Norm Smith Medallist into a goalpost at the northern end of Adelaide Oval in the third term of Friday night's 59-point win over the reigning premiers.

When asked if he had already accepted the charge, Tex responded: "Not yet I haven't."

“I felt I didn’t do it deliberately.

“So we’ll discuss this morning with Pykie and (General Manager Football Administration) Phil Harper on whether we challenge it or not."

Tex indicated that he was trying to stop Johanissen from rushing the kick through for a behind.

“My whole idea was to stop him touching the ball," Walker said.

“As soon as Matt Crouch kicked it…I thought it was going to land short.

“And as soon as I saw him hit the post I was very sore and sorry for him.”

If Tex pleads guilty to the charge his fine will be reduced down to $1000.
