If you're heading to the 'G to see West Coast/Collingwood, rug up.

The Bureau of Meteorology has tipped a top temperature of just 13 degrees for the last Saturday in September.

According to their data, it'll be one of the coldest in a long time, with possible showers not making the event any better.

The last time there was a grand final day so cold was back in 2002, when Brisbane defeated Collingwood in 12-degree weather.

The coldest grand final ever looks a step further away, though, with a max of just 11.3 degrees for the 1958 grand final.
