The 2019 AFLW fixture was released today, with the competition split into two conferences for the first time.

Adelaide, Fremantle, Melbourne, North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs make up Conference A, while Conference B is staffed by Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong and GWS.

The top two teams from each conference will qualify for preliminary finals, with first from Conference A playing second in Conference B and vice versa.

The winner of each of those games will play off in the grand final, which is set to be played on the weekend of the 30 and 31st of March.

Each round has at least one conference crossover, with the entirety of the second week given over to it.

Carlton has played Collingwood in the opening fixture for the first two installations of the AFLW, but has been given the boot this time around.

Instead the Pies will travel to Kardinia Park to play Geelong in Cats’ first ever match, while fellow newbies North Melbourne will split their home games between Hobart and Chirnside Park in north-western Melbourne.
