Dustin Martin has had one incredible season.

The Richmond superstar was already right in the Brownlow Medal picture halfway through the year, but his second half of 2017 has been simply phenomenal.

According to the AFL's Brownlow Predictor, Martin is expected to poll in all but 3 games since the bye in Round 12.

In that time, he is predicted to poll 21 votes at an average of almost 2 per game.

Under the system where players could only receive a maximum of 3 votes per game, the current record holder in a season is Patrick Dangerfield who recorded 35 votes in 2016.

The previous record was Dane Swan in 2011 with 34 - but Dusty is expected to eclipse the both of them with a barnstorming 38 votes if everything goes to plan.

The next-highest eligible player on the list is GWS' Josh Kelly with 25, with a bit of a gap back to Tom MitchellRory Sloane and Josh P. Kennedy.
