Ruckman are not usually renowned for their kicking prowess, but St Kilda big man Billy Longer has taken it to the next level – by hardly kicking the footy at all.

Champion Data stats reveal that out of Longer’s 10 games this season, he has only had nine kicks.

Incredibly, Longer has the worst ‘kick to handball’ ratio since Champion Data started recording stats in 1999, with a ratio of 0.12:1.

He literally hasn’t kicked the footy in four of those 10 games; including going back-to-back in round’s 6 and 5.

The highlight of his foot skills this season came in the Saints round 10 loss to the Bulldogs where he collected three kicks to go along with his 15 handballs.

In comparison, Tom Hickey, St Kilda’s other senior ruckman, has had 27 kicks in his four games this season - three times the amount.
