It was an incredible 30 minutes of football that established Port Adelaide as one of the more dangerous sides in the competition and, conversely, spelt disaster for Carlton.

The ball was genuinely stuck at one end, with the Power recording 24 inside 50s to just Carlton's two.

They won clearances, took marks, delivered the ball inside 50 and hit the scoreboard.

If they had kicked straighter - Robbie Gray turned six shots on goal into just two goals for the term - it could well have been one of the most dominant quarters in history.

"It was an awesome performance by Port Adelaide," Nathan Brown said on Triple M.

"That was one powerful quarter of football from a very good side."
