Collingwood star Jeremy Howe is a late omission against Essendon today, but teammate Darcy Moore believes he'll miss just the one game.
The Pies tweeted 90 minutes before the bounce that he will miss the match with a calf injury.
It is a big blow for the Pies, with the defender inducted into Collingwood's leadership group and in All-Australian conversation due to his stellar form.
Teammate Darcy Moore joined the Triple M box before the game and explained exactly what happened to the star.
"Yeah, he's just had a bit of calf tightness since last week," he said.
"We had a running session this morning and he just didn't quite pass the test."
Moore, however, believes Howe will miss just one game.
"He should be right for next week," he said.
