St Kilda's slashed ticket prices for their Friday night clash with Carlton in an attempt to boost attendance.

Tickets can be secured for as little as $13 for the clash at Etihad Stadium, which pits 15th-placed St Kilda against last-placed Carlton.

Adult general admission tickets will drop from $25 to $13 and behind the goals tickets from $75 to $45, while extra bays will open for general admission on level one, rather than level three.

St Kilda chief executive Matt Finnis said it was important for Saints fans to ensure they keep rocking up over the last seven weeks of the season.

"While our performances have lifted in the past few weeks, we acknowledge that the first half of the season was disheartening for our supporters," he told News Corp.

"That said, we can't escape the important role they will play in helping us turn things around.

"The way our new Etihad Stadium deal is structured means that even small increases in crowd attendance translates into significant financial uplift.

"Every supporter who attends our games in the final seven rounds will have a big impact on our club."
