Western Bulldogs tall forward Tom Boyd has made a successful return to footy in the VFL for Footscray today after taking personal leave to deal with depression.

It was Boyd’s first game of footy since he took leave in July.

His last game was against Melbourne in round 13.

2016 recruit Patrick Lipinski had a good day for the Dogs, racking up 32 touches, while Lukas Webb had 30 and a goal and Mitch Honeychurch kicked three as well.
