Hot Breakfast footy reporter Tom Browne says that Adelaide are weighing up swapping their two first round picks for St Kilda’s pick four.

LISTEN HERE:

“There’s a massive race on for the South Australian draft picks, guys like [Jack] Lukosius, so I think St Kilda is considering and will trade its pick four, swap them for Adelaide’s picks 8 and 13,” Browne said.

“They’re weighing up the points and how you go about doing that.

“Clubs can do that now (trade picks), which is a feature of this year’s draft, and I think they’ll do that.”

The Crows are looking to get ahead of Port Adelaide in the draft in order to get access to South Australian talent in the draft, with both Jack Lukosius and Izak Rankine tipped to be top five picks.

Port traded in pick 5 from Brisbane to get further up the draft order, and the Crows are trying to trump them with this move with St Kilda.

Draft pick trading has been expanded significantly this year, with picks able to swapped all the way up until they’re used in the draft.

The first round of the draft is being held on November 22, with the rest done the next day.
