Ex-Brisbane captain Tom Rockliff injured his shoulder late in the Lions’ loss to Hawthorn at University of Tasmania Stadium today.

Rockliff appeared to dislocate his already strapped left shoulder applying a tackle to Liam Shiels.

He came up from the contest holding his arm and walked straight off hunched over in pain.

Rockliff was having a massive day prior to his injury, racking up 30 touches (21 contested), 16 clearances, 13 tackles, five inside 50s and 1.0.

The ex-skipper's injury further darkened an already tough day for the Lions, they went down 17.11 (113) to 11.9 (75).

Ben Stratton and Cyril Rioli both went off injured for the Hawks, while Tom Mitchell continued his excellent year — he racked up 36 touches, six marks, six clearances and three inside 50s.
