Travis Cloke wore a non-approved glove in the Magpies' wins over Carlton and Greater Western Sydney.
The Collingwood power forward has escaped penalty after telling the AFL he will not do so again.
Cloke mistakenly believed the new glove had been approved by the AFL, according to AFL.com.au.
“The AFL contacted Collingwood on Monday seeking clarification about Cloke's glove, and club officials met with the League on Tuesday,” AFL.com.au report.
“The Magpies were informed at the meeting Cloke's glove was not on the AFL's approved list, and the club gave an assurance Cloke would seek League approval for any gloves he wore from now on.”
It is believed the AFL will take no further action against Collingwood or Cloke.
