Two Bulldogs Yet To Be Offered New Contracts

Western Bulldogs forward Stewart Crameri and midfielder Mitch Honeychurch haven't been offered new contracts at this stage, with the club unsure how many list spots will be free to re-sign them.

List manager Jason McCartney says the Dogs haven't offered either of them a new deal at this point, with the club unsure how many spots it'll have on its list.

"Stewie (Crameri), him and Mitch Honeychurch are a couple of players that haven't been offered a contract at this stage," he told AFL trade radio on Friday.

"It's an unfortunate situation to be in, and there's many players at other clubs."

McCartney said it was a balancing act, trying to fit players in while also remaining active throughout the trade period and the draft.

"We're mandated to bring three players in via the draft each year, and then beyond that, we get Jackson Trengove across the line, and there's some other things we're trying to do," he said.

"It's just balancing out the list and the numbers game."

Crameri has been linked to Geelong as his deal expires, with the 29-year-old having his last two seasons hindered by a 12-month doping ban and then a season-ending hip injury.

Honeychurch, after signing a two-year extension in 2015, has struggled to crack the senior side, playing two games in 2016 and six games in 2017.
