Carlton have bolstered their 2018 coaching stocks with the signing of two former AFL players.

Recently retired Essendon midfielder Brent Stanton and former Geelong & Port Adelaide player Jason Davonport will both join Carlton as development coaches.

“We’re very pleased both Brent and Jason have joined our coaching ranks ahead of the 2018 season,” Andrew McKay said on the Blues website.

“They both have a considerable understanding of the demands of senior football and will add a different dimension to our improved development program. They will work closely with our young playing group and with our VFL program under coach Josh Fraser.”
