Jarrad McVeigh won't be fit to face St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The veteran Swan received treatment for a hamstring injury early in last weekends match, however, he managed to play on and booted two goals in Sunday’s win over North Melbourne.
Sydney's Head of Football Tom Harley said the 32-year-old has undergone scans and will miss at least one week.
“Scans have revealed a low-grade hamstring strain so it was a really brave effort by Jarrad to not only play, but contribute with a couple of goals,” Harley said.
“He won’t play this week and we will assess him as he goes through the week as to whether he plays against Hawthorn the weekend after.”
The Swans will also be without Kieren Jack for another week as he continues to recover from a hip injury.
In better news for the Swans defender Dane Rampe is in the mix to face St Kilda.
