If you're heading to the MCG today, you might want to leave the car behind.

The MCG has authorised that parking capacity has been severely reduced for the Richmond/St Kilda clash.

The consistent rain overnight and during the morning has reduced the parking capacity to just a few hundred spots, with gate six already reaching capacity.

"Please take public transport today," they said in a tweet.

The MCG is expecting a crowd of 75,000 for the clash, which can see Richmond tie up a qualifying final against Geelong with a win.
