One footy fan was left worse for wear after a massive fall during last night's Melbourne/Richmond clash.

The incident occurred during Melbourne's quarter time Hogan's Heroes contest, where a few fans are called to take the best screamer.

One poor fan was a little overeager with his leap, crashing down to the turf hard and lying motionless for a few moments.

"We have an injury, ladies and gentlemen," specky bag-wearing host Russell Robertson said over the mic.

We definitely did: the fan took a while to get up off the turf with concerned staff lying around him.

He eventually got to his feet and walked off, assisted by Robertson and staff.
