Wayne Carey and Paul Roos reckon that the skill level on display in the AFL isn’t up to scratch.

Speaking on the Sunday Rub ahead of the Western Bulldogs vs West Coast game, Duck and Roosy described the current skill level as “deplorable”.

They referred specifically to Carlton’s loss to the Gold Coast yesterday and North Melbourne and St Kilda’s game on Good Friday.

Both blokes agreed that the issue is systemic, with young players spending more time on homework and video games than on working on skills like kicking on their opposite foot.
