Wayne Carey Reacts To Buddy Comparison

The boys on The Saturday Rub attempted to stir up former North Melbourne great Wayne Carey by bringing up the recent commentary about Buddy Franklin overtaking him as the greatest AFL player of all time.
The comments being alluded to were made by former Herald Sun Chief Footy writer Mike Sheahan who had previously been on record saying that Carey was the greatest player ever.
Although Duck didn’t quite give the boys the reaction they were looking for, he still managed to drop a few subtle arguments for his case.

“He (Buddy) is one of the great modern day forwards,” Carey said.
“He’s won one B&F… How many MVP’s (has he won)?”
“No he’s a gun. I love Buddy Franklin. I think he’s in the argument to be one of the greatest players (of all time).”
