Young West Coast forward Tom Lamb could find a new home next week, with manager Alex McDonald “really confident” clubs will show interest next week.

The 20-year-old is yet to be offered a contract by the Eagles, playing just one game in three years on the list after being drafted with pick 32 in the 2014 AFL draft.

“I think Tom falls into that category of the second week of trade week,” McDonald told AFL Trade Radio on Friday.

“The thing that’s probably been frustrating for Tom and probably the Eagles at times is the inconsistency but I think you put that down to, I think, in his draft year he might have been…one of the youngest in that draft pool.”

McDonald is confident there’ll be suitors, whether at West Coast or elsewhere, for the Victorian.

“(His) first year (was) lost through injury, so he’s effectively had two years in the system, and I think he’s matured both physically and mentally,” he said.

“We’re really confident that next week there’ll be some interest in someone like Tom once clubs realise what the picks look like, and then match that up against what they think they’ll get in the draft pool."
