West Coast are prepared to roll the dice on the MRP's ruling of Will Schofield's striking charge.

The Eagles defender was offered a one-match suspension following his elbow to the chin of Clayton Oliver during halftime of Melbourne's win.

"Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Melbourne Football Club, the MRP assessed the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the head," West Coast's website reads.

"The incident was classified as a two-match sanction. Schofield has no applicable record which impacts the penalty."

"An early plea would have allowed him to incur a one-match sanction, but the club feels there is sufficient evidence to clear him of the charge."

If West Coast are unsuccessful at the tribunal tonight, Schofield will miss two matches.
