Western Bulldogs forward Jake Stringer will miss 2-3 weeks after injuring his hamstring against Carlton at the MCG on Sunday.
Stringer strained the muscle during the second quarter of the Dogs’ 20-point win and will now miss games against Gold Coast in Cairns and Essendon and he is in doubt to take on the Brisbane Lions in Round 20 too.
Bulldogs head physiotherapist Chris Bell said scans on Monday confirmed the extent of Stringer’s injury.
“We’re going to put a structure around Jake but at this stage, we imagine he will miss the next two to three games of football,” Bell said.
Bell said Matthew Boyd was a good chance of returning from an Achilles complaint for the Dogs’ meeting with Gold Coast.
