Western Bulldogs midfielder/forward Mitch Honeychurch has signed on for another year with the club.

Honeychurch’s future was in doubt, but the retirement of Travis Cloke and the delisting of Stewart Crameri led to the Dogs keeping him.

Honeychurch had played 22 games for the Dogs since being taken with pick 60 in the 2013 draft and has kicked 12 goals.

There was some speculation that he would move for more game time after being unable to break into the Dogs midfield despite good VFL form.

However he has chosen to stay an extra year.

He played six matches in 2017 and booted one goal.
