The Western Bulldogs have confirmed they will appeal the tribunal’s decision to uphold a one-match ban for Women’s captain Katie Brennan.
The appeal will be heard on Thursday.
Brennan will miss Saturday’s grand final against the Brisbane Lions if her appeal is unsuccessful.
The star forward was originally rubbed out for her sling tackle on Melbourne’s Harriet Cordner.
She received a reprimand for the incident, but because it was her second reprimand of the season, it equated to a one-match ban she unsuccessfully contested at the tribunal on Tuesday night.
