Western Bulldogs youngster Bailey Williams has signed a new two-year contract that ties him to the club until the end of 2019.

Williams was due to come out of contract at the end of the season, but his immediate future at Whitten Oval is now secure.

Western Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said the club was pleased to retain Williams' services for a further two seasons.

"Bailey has shown some really promising signs since he came to the club in 2015," McCartney said.

"His poise and decision-making are of a high quality, and we're looking forward to watching him continue to develop into a quality player for the football club.”

Williams has played 10 games since being drafted by the Dogs at pick No.48 in the 2015 draft.
