It's a list that might make for good reading...or not.

We've collated the list for which team has spent the most time in front this season, and Port Adelaide tops it pretty comfortably.

The Power have spent 68.4% of their games this season in the lead - a grand total of nearly 13 hours - and it's well ahead of the next best.

Coming in second is Richmond, who have led 61.6% of their games this year, with third surprisingly North Melbourne, who have held the lead 60.6% of the time.

It's worked for Richmond, as they're in the top four, but not for North Melbourne, down in 13th.

Down the other end of the table is a classic case of leading when it matters, with reigning premiers Western Bulldogs.

Amazingly, the Dogs have led just 41.3% of the time in their games so far this season.

Despite that, they have a 6-4 record: the same as Port Adelaide.

Same with Fremantle: they've led 27.2% of the time - second worst in the league - but are also in the top eight.

Talk about leading when it counts...
