North Melbourne have recruited former Western Bulldogs ruckman Will Minson as their new ruck coach.

Minson played 191 games and averaged 21 hitouts per match over 14 seasons with the Dogs before bowing out at the end of last year.

The 2013 All-Australian ruckman will now work closely with the likes of Todd Goldstein, Brayden Preuss and Majak Daw.

“It’s great to have someone like Will, who is fresh out of the game,” Goldstein said.

“I think he’ll be able to help me add some more strings to my bow.

“Will’s got the runs on the board and I’m looking forward to learning a lot from him.”
