Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer is the Triple M Footy Cbus Player of the Week for Round 12.

Kreuzer played a starring role in the Blues’ upset one-point victory over premiership fancies Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

The former No.1 draft pick was instrumental with 21 disposals, 12 contested possessions, 33 hitouts, six marks, eight tackles, three clearances and a goal as the Blues snuck home 10.11.71 to 9.16.70 for just their fourth win of the season.

The performance continues a rich vein of form for Kreuzer who has averaged 20 disposals, 10 contested possessions, 30 hitouts, five marks and seven tackles in his last four games to enter All-Australian calculations.

The 28-year-old’s mighty performance kept Carlton’s faint finals hopes alive as they now sit two games outside the top eight.
