Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield has been awarded the Triple M Footy Cbus Player of the Week for round three.

With his team trailing Melbourne by seven points at three-quarter time, the reigning Brownlow Medalist shifted gears in the final term to play a starring role in the Cats’ come-from-behind 29-point win.

In similar scenes to the match against North Melbourne a week earlier, Dangerfield teamed up with captain Joel Selwood to dominate the last quarter and deliver their team another win.

Dangerfield finished the game with 36 disposals (20 contested), nine clearances and three goals and is sure to earn the three Brownlow Medal votes.

It’s fair to say that if it wasn’t for him, the Cats wouldn’t be undefeated right now.
