St Kilda youngster Jack Billings is the Triple M Footy Cbus Player of the Week for round eight.

Billings celebrated his 50th match by having a ‘career day’ on Saturday, racking up 30 disposals, 12 marks and five goals – all personal bests for the 21-year-old.

The diminutive Saint was the main reason why his team was able to keep the highly-competitive Carlton at bay at Etihad Stadium.

The Blues pushed St Kilda all the way, before eventually losing by 19 points.

If it wasn’t for Billings’ four first-half goals, Carlton would have enjoyed a half-time lead instead of trailing by four points.

In the end, Billings was the difference and St Kilda have him to thank for the fact that they now sit in sixth position on the ladder.
