Sydney superstar Lance Franklin is the Triple M Footy Cbus Player of the Week for Round 23.
Franklin set the SCG alight on Saturday as he helped himself to 25 disposals (11 contested), 10 marks and a whopping 10 goals against the hapless Blues.
It was just the second time in Franklin’s illustrious career that he cracked double digits in the goals column in a single game.
The 30-year-old trailed West Coast’s Josh Kennedy by five goals heading into the final round, but Franklin’s massive haul against Carlton saw him come home with a wet sail and win his fourth Coleman Medal.
Franklin ended up on 69 goals for the year - four clear of the big Eagle (65) who was restricted to just one goal on Sunday against Adelaide.
Kennedy also happened to be the last player to kick 10 goals in a game back in Round 2, 2015 when he slammed home 10 against his former side Carlton.
Franklin’s amazing virtuoso performance helped the Swans to a crushing 81-point win but it wasn’t enough to see them finish in the top four.
Sydney will now host Essendon in a cut-throat elimination final at SCG on Saturday week.
