Geelong v Adelaide

Games lift in intensity down at Kardinia Park and there's no doubt it will when the Cats and Crows go head to head. It'll be interesting to see the Crows can find the same amount of space in their forward half on the skinniest ground in the league, as they have all year.

On the other hand, this game is a test for Geelong. Beating Port Adelaide last week and the Western Bulldogs before that was impressive, but knocking off Adelaide might mean they're a serious September threat.

Geelong by 10.

Crownbet odds:

Geelong 2.20

Adelaide 1.70

Gold Coast v West Coast

This is a real danger game for West Coast. A forward line minus Josh Kennedy isn't something they've had to deal with for some time and this is the longest trip in footy, heading all the way from Perth to Queensland.

It's hard to pick which Gold Coast shows up, seeing as they've rinsed Geelong and Hawthorn and been thumped by the likes of GWS, Adelaide and Port Adelaide this year.

Gold Coast by 20.

Crownbet odds:

Gold Coast 2.15

West Coast 1.73

GWS v Essendon

Essendon has shown some good signs this season, but this looms as a daunting task: GWS at Spotless, where they've won 15 of their last 20.

But despite everything GWS is a scary side and a warranted premiership favourite, and they're ever chance of slicing the Dons open and spoiling Brendon Goddard's 300th game here.

GWS by 40.

Crownbet odds:

GWS 1.21

Essendon 4.65

North Melbourne v Richmond

The Roos have been better than expected this year, and have won four of their last five. A win here could keep them in the mix for what would be an unlikely finals spot.

But, having said that, the Tigers are a good side, and proved that in urging their way over the line against Essendon last week. A win here will see them end the round in the top four.

Richmond by 18.

Crownbet odds:

North Melbourne 1.96

Richmond 1.88

Fremantle v Collingwood

The only Sunday match is a tricky one. On face value, this should be a Fremantle win, with the Dockers sitting seventh and hosting the 12th-placed Pies.

But Fremantle have been awful at times this year, especially last week against Adelaide losing by 100 points. And Collingwood's recent form has been better, with a nail-biting loss to GWS backed up by good wins over Hawthorn and Brisbane.

Fremantle by 6.

Crownbet odds:

Fremantle 1.85

Collingwood 2.00
