Adelaide vs. Sydney

These two teams met in a semi final last season and this clash will mean nearly as much, with the Crows keen to lock in a top two spot and the Swans pushing for top four. As good as the Crows have been - and they've been pretty handy - the Swans are undoubtedly back to their best, losing just twice in their last 14 games, both to Hawthorn.

Crownbet odds:

Adelaide 1.65

Sydney 2.30

Western Bulldogs vs. Port Adelaide

The first ever AFL clash up in Ballarat should be a doozy. Port Adelaide can still scrape in for a double chance. But it might mean more for the Dogs, who are opening proceedings at Mars Stadium and need this win to stay in touch with the top eight. They'll give this one everything against a Port Adelaide side that hasn't been quite at its best over the last month.

Crownbet odds:

Western Bulldogs 1.85

Port Adelaide 2.00

Collingwood vs. Geelong

The race for a top two spot and a crack at a qualifying final at Simonds Stadium awaits for the Cats. But it means toppling the Pies, who have been a thorn in their side in recent years, beating them on the last three occasions. Could they do it again? They're in decent form, losing just one of their last five, so they'll give it a hell of a crack.

Crownbet odds:

Collingwood 2.70

Geelong 1.48

GWS vs. West Coast

West Coast can still feature in September despite some less than convincing form in recent weeks, and a late season win over at Spotless against GWS - like they managed late last year - certainly helps. But it's hard to ignore the Giants. They're coming off good wins over the Dees and Dogs. And their bench? Kelly, Deledio, Shiel, Williams...it's pretty useful.

GWS by 25

Crownbet odds:

GWS 1.20

West Coast 4.65

Gold Coast vs. Essendon

Against a floundering Gold Coast side less than two weeks off sacking their head coach Rodney Eade, you'd expect Essendon to come away with the points, and possibly percentage, to bolster their September case. But that's exactly where they've cost themselves recently, dropping their game against Brisbane, Sydney and Carlton after looking the goods. They need to make sure of this one.

Essendon by 23

Crownbet odds:

Gold Coast 3.25

Essendon 1.35

Carlton vs. Hawthorn

Believe it or not, Hawthorn can still play finals. They're six points outside the top eight with two games left, and a win here can make it even more possible. Carlton have dragged sides down all season, but it shouldn't be enough to keep a still-impressive Hawthorn side at bay.

Hawthorn by 23

Crownbet odds:

Carlton 3.70

Hawthorn 1.29

Melbourne vs. Brisbane

Both sides have something to play for: the Dees can notch up a win to bolster their chances of featuring in September, while the Lions can launch themselves off the bottom of the ladder with more premiership points. The Dees are susceptible but, like they did against St Kilda last week, they could do enough to win this in one quarter.

Melbourne by 35

Crownbet odds:

Melbourne 1.14

Brisbane 5.85

St Kilda vs. North Melbourne

A finals push looks tough for the Saints, and keeping it alive won't come completely easy against a North Melbourne side that has at times been prickly to play against. But the Saints should still be a class above at home, and need to ensure they're still in the mix by the time round 23 rolls around.

St Kilda by 20

Crownbet odds:

St Kilda 1.40

North Melbourne 3.00

Fremantle vs. Richmond

Richmond did miraculously drop a game against Fremantle earlier in the year, with a David Mundy goal after the siren spoiling their comeback. You'd think Richmond would be too good for this one, though. They haven't let much slip this season, and shouldn't against this Fremantle side that has won twice in 11 games.

Richmond by 26

Crownbet odds:

Fremantle 3.30

Richmond 1.34
