Stat Cave Finals Week 3

Article heading image for Ash Chua's Stat Cave - Finals Week 3

Hi, this is Ash Chua for Bosch Tools from the Triple M Stats Cave.

Since 2007, Geelong have won 13 out of the past 17 against Adelaide, and the Cats also have a very good record at the Adelaide Oval having won 3 out of their past 4.

Patrick Dangerfield has smashed all key statistical categories since Rd 9, averaging 31 disposals, 7 clearances and 146 ranking points per game, as well as leading Geelong’s goalkicking table with 31 majors.

The Tigers pressure has been outstanding in season 2017, past month lead the competition for scores from turnovers @ 81 points per game, which is 28 points above the AFL average.

Combined, Dustin Martin and Trent Cotchin have kicked 49 goals, opposed to 19 last year. Martin has kicked 32 majors this season, and needs 1 more to equal his season high tally of 33 goals back in 2011.

Can Steve Johnson replicate last week’s form? The Bosch Tools Stats tell us Stevie J has been held scoreless from his past 2 games against Richmond.

Join us this Friday night from 6, when Adelaide take on Geelong in the 1st Preliminary Final as Triple M Rocks Footy.
