Free agent Andrew Gaff is staying at West Coast, according to Nick Bowen at AFL.com.au.

Gaff was tempted by a big offer from North Melbourne but is apparently in the process of informing people that he will stay with the Eagles.

The North deal was thought to be worth $8 million over seven years.

Gaff famously missed this year’s premiership win after being handed an eight-match suspension for a punch that broke the jaw of Fremantle youngster Andrew Brayshaw.

North Melbourne have lined up deals for Port Adelaide’s Jared Polec and Gold Coast’s Aaron Hall, but the truly big fish in the free agency pool has apparently once again eluded them.
