Brandon Matera's preferred destination is Fremantle, according to manager Colin Young.

The wantaway Gold Coast forward wants to return home to Western Australia, with Young confirming on Friday that he has picked the Dockers.

He should move there alongside GWS defender Nathan Wilson, who is also seeking a trade home, according to discussions with respective list managers.

"From preliminary discussions with Craig (Lambert) at GWS and Scotty (Clayton) at Gold Coast and Brad Lloyd (at Fremantle), it all seems to be flowing pretty well," Young told AFL Trade Radio.

"We've all agreed to do the trades.

"Hopefully Brad doesn't play any silly games during trade week, Brad, if you're listening!

"I'm pretty confident they'll both get home."

Young also explained client Charlie Cameron's desire to move to Brisbane was to be with family and friends.

"It’s compassionate reasons that Charlie’s asked to go back to Brisbane to live,” he said.

"We’re hoping it can be done. You don’t know what’s going on at the moment on the other side with other clubs.

"He thinks there’s more to life than playing football. Family and friends and No.1 for him, and that’s where he feels more comfortable living.

"That will certainly assist his football going forward."
