Triple M Footy’s Damian Barrett doesn’t believe Western Bulldogs forward Jake Stringer is worth anything more than pick 20 in the draft.

Damo recently reported that the Bulldogs will be looking to trade Stringer next month due to club and player having had a falling out.

Essendon have been strongly linked to the All-Australian star but Damo told Triple M’s Rush Hour that the Bombers shouldn’t think about parting ways with their first pick (No.11) to acquire Stringer.

“I’ve got a view that he’s worth, and it’s an inexact science, around about pick 20,” Damo told The Midweek Rub

“I think the Bulldogs need to be realistic.

“He went pick five in 2012, All-Australian 2015 and was (the Bulldogs) leading goalkicker even last year despite all the problems.

“There’s no doubt they (Bulldogs) want more than pick 20. Essendon’s got pick 11 but I wouldn’t be giving up pick 11 and not getting something back as well.”

St Kilda have picks seven and eight at this year’s draft, but Damo said he wouldn’t part ways with either of those if he was the Saints either.

“He’s got problems that clubs are aware of and the reasons the Bulldogs want him out,” Damo said of Stringer.
