Darcy Lang has completed his move to Carlton.

The midfielder, who had previously nominated the Blues as his preferred new home, completed the move on Thursday afternoon, half an hour before the 2pm deadline.

He will move alongside Geelong's 2018 fourth-round pick for Carlton's pick 58 and their 2018 fourth-round pick.

Lang has struggled for opportunity in recent seasons at the Cats.

After playing 20 games in his second season, Lang played 13 games in 2016 and 10 games in 2017.

He was brought in for Geelong's semi final against Sydney and starred with 24 disposals and six tackles, before recording 11 disposals and eight tackles in their preliminary final loss.

It's another acquisition for the Blues after landing GWS midfielder Matt Kennedy moments beforehand.
