The Saints have landed another player, securing Dean Kent from Melbourne.

Kent joins the Saints in exchange for pick 65, joining Dan Hannebery at the club for 2019.

The 24-year-old had played 63 games for the Demons for 63 goals, with injury keeping him to just five games in 2018.

The Saints had reportedly offered him a three-year deal.

“Dean has shown his ability at AFL level, but unfortunately injuries have impacted his continuity over the years,” Melbourne general manager of football operations Josh Mahoney told Melbourne Media.

“Whilst we were keen to keep Dean and offered him a contract, we understand the security that a longer-term offer presents, and we are glad that he has an opportunity to extend his AFL career.”
