Essendon are confident of securing Jake Stringer, Devon Smith and Adam Saad this trade period without losing Aaron Francis.

The aforementioned trio have all reportedly nominated the Bombers as their preferred destination while Francis wants to return home to Adelaide.

Francis, a former No.6 draft pick, has only played five games for Essendon.

"We can bring the three players without losing Aaron," Essendon football manager Rob Kerr said.

"No interest yet from SA clubs regarding Aaron, we are sympathetic of his situation.

"As it stands Aaron will be with us next year.”

However, Kerr admitted the Bombers had their work cut out for themselves to secure Stringer.

"We have spoken to the Dogs and there is a little bit of work to do that," Kerr said.

"We're confident we can get a deal done.

"We are confident Jake will be a very good player for Essendon.”

The Bulldogs want the Bombers' pick No.11 at this year's draft. Kerr was confident Essendon's culture would get the troubled Stringer back on track.

Kerr said an offer had already been put in place for Saad.

"We've had a good discussion with the Suns," he said.

Meanwhile, Essendon are not in the running for Josh Schache who reportedly wants to leave the Brisbane Lions.
