George Horlin-Smith has joined Gold Coast.

The 25-year-old was traded to Gold Coast on Tuesday in exchange for pick 59.

Horlin-Smith has struggled for opportunity in his time at Geelong, playing 51 games across eight seasons on their list.

The midfielder has played 19 games in the past four seasons, finding it difficult to secure a midfield spot behind the likes of Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood and Gary Ablett.

He becomes Gold Coast's fifth addition to their list this trade period, following Corey Ellis and Anthony Miles from Richmond and mature-age pre-selections Chris Burgess and Josh Corbett.
