Triple M Footy’s Jay Clark has reported that Carlton are showing some interest in recruiting Geelong speedster Darcy Lang.

The Blues have already had a few setbacks to start the trade and free agency period with Brisbane Lions star Tom Rockliff and GWS gun Devon Smith both overlooking them and nominating Port Adelaide and Essendon respectively.

However, Carlton are set to land Smith’s former teammate Matthew Kennedy and might also add Lang to their list too.

After hardly missing a game in 2015, Lang has struggled for opportunities with just 23 games in the last two seasons.

Lang missed most of the second half of this season due to a shin injury, but was recalled in September and played in two finals.

The 21-year-old had previously been linked to Gold Coast, potentially as part of the Gary Ablett deal, but apparently has no desire to join the Suns.

Since being taken at pick No.16 in the 2013 draft, Lang has played 44 games and kicked 31 goals for the Cats.
