Jesse Hogan could again be a talking point throughout the trade period, with reports the Melbourne star met with Fremantle skipper Nat Fyfe during the week.

Perth Now has reported the two met in Mosman Park on Tuesday night, ahead of this year's trade period.

The Dockers have previously made a bid to lure the 22-year-old home to Western Australia, and the report suggests they may attempt another.

The report does not suggest Hogan wants to leave, though, with the star forward still contracted at Melbourne for another two years.

Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said during the week Hogan is not up for trade, and his manager Jason Dover - who also manages Fyfe - does not expect Hogan to leave, according to the report.

Fremantle hold pick five in this year's draft, but will likely have to give up more for the forward, who has kicked 105 goals in 51 games.

The Dockers are also leading the chase for Nathan Wilson and Brandon Matera, who both want to return home.
