Triple M Footy’s Jay Clark has reported that out-of-favour Port Adelaide ruckman Matthew Lobbe has met with the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast on Friday.

Lobbe is still contracted to the Power, but cannot get a look in for senior action with All-Australian ruckman Paddy Ryder in the way.

The 28-year-old failed to play a game in season 2017 and could only manage eight games in 2016, with a knee injury the main reason for his limited opportunities.

Lobbe has played 92 games for Port Adelaide but his career will now almost certainly continue in Queensland from next season.

Port Adelaide have been one of the busiest players in this year's trade period with former Lions captain Tom Rockliff joining them as a free agent and Geelong speedster Steven Motlop expected to follow suit.

The Power also appear to be leading the race for Melbourne utility Jack Watts' signature.

Port Adelaide have also traded Jarman Impey to Hawthorn for pick 33 at this year's draft.
