GWS midfielder Tom Scully’s trade to Hawthorn is complete, with the Hawks sending the Giants Gold Coast’s 2019 fourth-round pick in return.
The hard running midfielder missed most of 2018 after badly breaking his ankle in round two.
Concerns over the injury have led to Scully’s trade value to drop significantly, as revealed by Tom Browne last night:
Scully was the number one pick in the 2009 draft.
The 27-year-old has played 121 games for the Giants since moving in the 2011 trade period, after 31 for Melbourne between 2009-2011.
