GWS midfielder Will Setterfield has asked for a trade to Carlton.

Setterfield was recruited to the Giants with pick 5 in the 2016 draft and managed two games in his first year and none this year.

His career so far has been beset by injuries, with his entire 2018 wiped out due to an ACL injury and subsequent knee reconstruction.

Setterfield is contracted until 2020 with GWS.

Tom Browne first revealed Carlton’s interest in the 20-year-old in August:

The Blues and GWS will now work to make a trade happen.

Meanwhile, ruckman Rory Lobb also informed the club he wishes to be traded to Fremantle.

Tom Browne gave a trade update on the Hot Breakfast this morning.
