Australian Aron Baynes has played a key role in the Boston Celtics’ 96-89 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

Baynes registered 12 points and seven rebounds from 24 minutes of court time, including a perfect 6-6 clip from the free-throw line and 50 percent field goal percentage (3-6).

The 30-year-old provided valuable support to star duo Al Horford (27 points, nine rebounds) and Kyrie Irving (24 points, seven assists).

Baynes luckily recovered from this huge collision with Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to play his part in the win.

However, a victory for Baynes meant a loss for Milwaukee’s Aussie duo Matthew Dellavedova and Thon Maker.

The pair had nights they’d rather forget as they combined for just eight points in their team’s seven-point loss.

Milwaukee enjoyed a one-point lead at half-time but were overwhelmed by the Celtics in the second half.

Both teams are now sitting on 3-2 win-loss records, along with three other sides in the Eastern Conference.
