Australian NBA sensation Ben Simmons has registered another double-double as his All-Star teammate Joel Embiid propelled the 76ers to a 122-113 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Philadelphia on Thursday (US time).

Simmons collected 14 points, 11 assists and a steal while Embiid registered 41 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks to be the driving force behind the win which kept the 76ers’ undefeated home record intact this season.

JJ Redick was also a handy contributor with 18 points off the bench.

Lou Williams (26) top scored for the Clippers while Danilo Gallinari (25 and eight rebounds) and Tobias Harris (24 and eight rebounds) provided solid support.

The 76ers (5-4) are now sixth in the Eastern Conference while the Clippers (4-4) sit in 10th place in the West.

Meanwhile, Simmons’ compatriot Aron Baynes played a small but effective role as his Celtics handed the Milwaukee Bucks their first loss of the season in Boston.

Baynes picked up five points, three rebounds and two assists from just 15 minutes of court time but Kyrie Irving was the star again with 28 points and seven assists in the 117-113 result.

Giannis Antetokounmpo continued his brilliant form for the Bucks with 33 points, 11 rebounds and three steals.

The Celtics have improved to 6-2 while the Bucks are now 7-1.
